Ordering repeat prescriptions

The easiest way to order repeat prescriptions is:

  • using your https://app.nhs.wales/login (through the NHS website or in the NHS App)
  • or you can simply place a request in our letter box or hand it into our receptionist.

Please allow 48 hours for us to process a prescription with us. You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 3 to 5 working days after you have ordered it.

The easiest and quickest way to get medication is via EPS (electronic prescription Service) you just need to consent and provide us with your nominated pharmacy. You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:

Medication reviews

Regular medication reviews are important to ensure your medicines remain safe, effective, and appropriate for your current health needs. They also give you the opportunity to discuss any side effects, concerns, or changes to your condition with a clinician. Attending your medication review helps us provide you with the best possible care and avoid delays to future prescriptions.

Repeat medications should be reviewed annually. The doctor may ask for you to have some routine blood tests. Please book the blood tests as soon as possible and then contact the surgery for a medication review appointment once the tests are complete.

If you do not attend for your requested review or checks then the doctor may take your medication off repeat and reduce the quantity until the review is complete.

Questions about your prescription

If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer these. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.

The NHS website has information on how your medicine works, how and when to take it, possible side effects and answers to your common questions.
